Super{set} was founded by two serial entrepreneurs, Tom Chavez and Vivek Vaidya, who previously sold two startups, Krux and Rapt, for $1.2 billion. Well versed in the startup ‘playbook’, the pair decided to create a Startup Studio containing both the technical knowledge and financial backing to create world class software. Super{set} is seeking an entrepreneurial, results-driven Product Focused Executive in Residence to help design and create the next generation of Super{set} family companies. This role is foundational in the creation and execution of new ideas. The position strongly emphasizes technology and product management.

Responsibilities:

  • Help create new companies for Super{set} from concepts the team will develop.
  • Drive early stage technical implementation for new companies.
  • Build out 30-60-90 product roadmaps and other key technical milestones.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders to guide the functional and technical direction of the Super{set} products.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and executive team to build and communicate the technology vision and strategy across the organization; build consensus around key initiatives and projects.
  • Help ensure key product objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Work with partners to address emergent, latent, and undiscovered needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software industry trends, as well as competitive products and services, so you can design and articulate how Super{set} can provide relevant solutions. Provide inspirational, energetic leadership by example.
  • Drive a “lean startup” style environment of constant experimentation and learning.

Credentials / Attributes:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management in SaaS software. Experience as a founder/cofounder of a startup is a significant plus.
  • Engineering experience and deep technical understanding is essential.
  • Comfortable in an early-stage environment. Able and willing to ‘get their hands dirty’.
  • Experience developing and detailing software product requirements and building implementation plans to deliver on the vision of a product.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus across a broad range of backgrounds, organizational levels, and personalities.
  • A proven track record with strategic planning, development, and execution.
  • Ability to move fast with a focus to maintaining the organization’s integrity and position in the marketplace.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead the cycle of problem-solving work from problem definition to analysis, recommendation, and development of implementation plans.
